ANOTHER Winter Storm?
It looks like there could be another winter storm in the works for northern Virginia on Wednesday So far, models indicate that there will be between 0.3 and 0.5 inches of total precipitation in Leesburg, however temperatures will effect how it falls. As of right now, Leesburg will see a high temperature of 34 on Wednesday, making it a little too warm for snow at the surface which may cut back on totals. I believe Leesburg will see anywhere from 2 to 4 inches, since this storm does not seem as potent as the last one. Areas east of Leesburg will receive from 1 to 2 inches where rain will fall for most of the afternoon cutting back on total accumulations. Areas west of Leesburg toward Winchester and the Appalachian mountains may see 4 to 8 inches where cold air will be persistent throughout the storm. I will continue to update this as the storm develops.
