Forecast for Starkville, MS and Leesburg, VA

 
The 5-Day Forecast from the video broadcast may be slightly different because that is a computer-generated forecast.  Mine is based on my own opinion and forecast.
Starkville, MS

Overnight-  Mostly cloudy with occasional pockets of drizzle.  Low temperature around 51.

Tuesday-  Showers likely in the morning and then remaining cloudy during the early afternoon.  Showers and thunderstorms developing by late afternoon and evening.  Some of the storms could be severe with strong winds in excess of 80 MPH.  There is a slight chance of tornadoes, however the greatest risk of tornadoes will be to the south of Starkville.  Windy conditions likely during the afternoon, with winds gusting to 40 MPH outside of thunderstorms.  High temperature around 69.

Tuesday night-  Showers and thunderstorms during the evening.  Some storms could be severe earlier in the evening, however the severe risk will dissipate within a few hours after sunset.  Continued breezy with winds gusting up to 30 MPH. Temperature around 65 during the evening, dropping to 28 early Wednesday morning.

Wednesday-  Mostly sunny and breezy.  There is a slight chance of flurries early in the morning however no accumulation will occur.  High temperature around 41.

Wednesday night-  Mostly clear with a low temperature around 24.

Thursday-  Mostly clear during the morning, with increasing clouds throughout the afternoon.  High temperature around 42.

Thursday night-  Mostly cloudy with light snow developing overnight.  Accumulations of around a dusting are possible.  Low temperature around 27.

Friday- Mostly cloudy with light snow during the morning, mixing with and changing to rain during the afternoon.  Little to no accumulation expected.  High temperature around 38.

Leesburg, VA

Overnight-  Areas of sleet and freezing rain will continue in waves overnight.  Expect one wave around 2AM and another around sunrise.  Little to no ice accumulation expected.  Low temperature around 26.

Tuesday-  Freezing rain and sleet during the morning ending during the early afternoon.  Little to no ice accumulation expected during the morning.  Remaining cloudy with occasional rain showers.  High temperature around 33 during the morning, falling to around 30 by sunset.

Tuesday night-  WINTER STORM WATCH- Cloudy during the evening, with freezing rain developing around 9PM.  Freezing rain will continue overnight into early Wednesday morning.  Ice accumulations of 0.2 to 0.3 inches expected.  Low temperature around 30.

Wednesday-  Freezing rain continuing until shortly after sunrise, then changing to all rain.  Rain continuing through 12PM.  Skies will remain cloudy for the rest of the day.  High temperature around 38.

Wednesday night-  Clearing overnight and becoming much colder and breezy.  Low temperature around 19.

Thursday-  Mostly sunny with a high temperature around 34.

Thursday night-  Clear with a low temperature around 21.

Friday-  Sunny with a high temperature around 39.
