UPDATE- Ice Storm for Starkville

This is the current ice accumulation map.  I believe Starkville and areas through central Mississippi will see anywhere between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of ice overnight.  Areas to the north toward Tupelo and westward toward the delta may see up to 1 inch of snow along with up to 0.25 inch of ice.  Areas to the southwest in Jackson and Vicksburg may see 0.5 inches or more of ice.  Precipitation will fall as freezing rain for most of the night before changing to rain early Friday morning.

This is the radar image as of 12:50AM Friday.  The area of pink reflectivity I have circled is precipitation falling as freezing rain.  The area of white and gray is snow in eastern Texas.  Expect this precipitation to move to the northeast overnight.  Areas around Jackson can expect to see freezing rain to start within the next hour.  Starkville can expect to see freezing rain and sleet begin falling by 3AM.
